Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Tradington (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Tradington is — and is not

Tradington is an educational trading simulator. All trading on the Service is simulated using virtual funds. No real money is ever traded, no real orders are sent to any exchange or broker, and you cannot win, lose, deposit, or withdraw real money through trading.

Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Simulated results do not reflect real trading and are not indicative of future results. Real-world trading of futures involves substantial risk of loss.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Keep your login credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.
One person should not operate multiple accounts to manipulate the leaderboard.

4. Purchases and entitlements

Certain desks and features are available as one-time digital purchases, processed by our payment provider (Stripe).
A purchase grants you access to that simulated desk or feature within the Service. It has no cash value and confers no real-world financial instrument or asset.
Because purchases unlock digital content immediately, they are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact us and we'll try to make it right.
Prices and available features may change over time.

5. Market data

Charts may display market price data obtained from third-party providers. This data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, is provided “as is,” and is for educational display only. Do not rely on it for real trading or any financial decision.

6. Leaderboard

The global leaderboard is optional. If you post a score, your display username and simulated percentage return become publicly visible to other users. Do not use a username that reveals personal information you want to keep private.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data.
Abuse, exploit, or manipulate the leaderboard, purchases, or reset mechanics.
Use the Service to harass others or upload unlawful content in journal notes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that market data will be accurate or timely.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tradington and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because no real money is traded, the Service does not cause trading losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Some provisions (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
