Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tradington (“Tradington,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our futures-trading practice platform (the “Service”). Tradington is a simulation for educational purposes only — no real money is traded.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a display username. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never stored by us in plain text.
  • Simulated trading activity. Data you generate while using the Service — your practice portfolios, open and closed simulated trades, journal notes, and settings — is stored so we can show it back to you.
  • Payment information. Purchases are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not receive or store your full card details. We retain a record of what you purchased (e.g., which desks or features you own).
  • Leaderboard information. If you choose to post a score, your display username and your simulated percentage return become visible to other users. This is optional and only happens when you post.
  • Technical data. Basic technical information (such as cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs) is processed to operate the Service.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • To process and record your purchases and the features you are entitled to.
  • To display the global leaderboard when you opt in by posting a score.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.

3. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They process data only as needed:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting (account, portfolio, and leaderboard data).
  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy.
  • Market-data provider(s) — we retrieve market price data to display charts. We do not share your personal information with them.
  • Hosting provider — to serve the application and store standard logs.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, basic purchase records for accounting or legal purposes).

6. Your choices and rights

  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
  • You can remove yourself from the public leaderboard by not posting, or by requesting removal of a posted score.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
